I've been to San Diego!

San Diego was a nice, although quick, trip. I was there with my co-worker for just over 2 days for a conference put on by the APDIM for Program Administrators. It was a great conference with some good networking and meeting some really good people!

Although our hotel - Sheraton - was right next to the airport, it was quiet in the rooms. I did manage to get a picture of a flying saucer!

Monica and myself met up with three of our four new Chief Residents - Mike, Melina and Firas (standing for pictures on the "boardwalk" with Coronado Island in the background) - for some bonding and getting to know each other better. Mohamed left right before the pictures because he had to check to make certain that his wife was okay.

This picture is proof that I stuck with my diet. No sundae for me!!

I've been to Arizona

I've been to Kentucky

I've been to the Cumberland River in Kentucky, where Joan and I went River Rafting. This is our guide - Nasty Man - who led us safely down the river. This trip was set up through Sheltowee Trace Outfitters in Whitley City, KY.

This was a week long vacation, camping in many different places in Kentucky. We went to Natural Bridge, Mammouth Cave, Lincoln's birthplace and more.

This is the trip that we camped in a campground straight out of "Deliverance" - we were the only campers there. We also had a visit from what Joan described as a "bear" - she woke me up to let me know that she heard a bear outside of the tent. I turned over in my cot and peered outside and said "SCAT!" The "bear" was a racoon! Joan chuckled and said "I could have done that."

But you didn't Joan, but you didn't.

I've been to South Korea
